Standing together to create hope: big result for Karinya House

At Parker Coles Curtis, we believe that strong communities are built by standing beside those who need support most. That's why we were incredibly proud to once again be the Principal Partner of the 2026 Home. Hope. Horizon. Charity Luncheon in support of Karinya House.

Held on 22 May 2026, the luncheon brought together an inspiring community of 362 attendees, all united by a shared commitment to helping women and children experiencing hardship rebuild their lives.

Together, the results were extraordinary

Throughout May, through the Home. Hope. Horizon. Charity Luncheon and Karinya House's May Appeal, the community raised just under $140,000. As one of the campaigns matched giving partners, Parker Coles Curtis proudly contributed to a total matched giving initiative of up to $50,600.

The impact of this generosity is significant.

Approximately $140,000 is enough to support around seven women and their babies or children as they journey through Karinya House, providing practical assistance, stability and hope during some of life's most challenging moments.

More than a roof over someone's head

Karinya House provides far more than accommodation. It offers a safe, compassionate environment where women can heal, rebuild confidence and create a brighter future for themselves and their children.

Every woman who walks through the doors has her own story. Karinya House recognises that no two journeys are the same, providing personalised support that meets each woman where she is, while empowering her to move forward with dignity and confidence.

Support may include:

- Assistance with food and everyday essentials

- Health and wellbeing support

- Tenancy and housing assistance

- Transport and building independence

- Education, training and pathways back into employment

- Ongoing practical and emotional support for women and their children

It is a place where hope is restored, futures are rebuilt, and women are reminded they do not have to face difficult circumstances alone.

Why this partnership matters

As a family law firm, we regularly meet people navigating some of the most difficult periods of their lives. We understand that legal advice is only one part of the journey. Safe housing, practical support, financial stability and a caring community are often just as critical in helping someone move forward.

Our partnership with Karinya House reflects our commit

ment to supporting women and families beyond the courtroom. We are passionate about investing in organisations that provide practical assistance, genuine compassion and long-term opportunities for those rebuilding their lives.

Thank you

To everyone who attended the luncheon, donated during May, volunteered, sponsored the event or shared the campaign, thank you.

Your generosity will have a lasting impact on the lives of women and children in our community.

We are honoured to continue supporting the incredible work of Karinya House and look forward to helping create even more hope, opportunity and brighter futures in the years ahead.

Because when a community comes together, remarkable things happen.
