Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for exceptional graduates, which isn’t only about your academic record but also includes enthusiasm, resilience, your life experience, teamwork, curiosity and communication skills. Importantly, you will feel aligned with our values. We do have some eligibility criteria – specific qualifications or fields of study, and there are rules around citizenship/visa status.

Hands-on experience

12-month exposure and 'hands on' experience to a wide range of family law cases. You'll receive training in legal drafting, advocacy, dispute resolution, client care and management, and help develop practical and solutions-driven outcomes for families.

Application process

1. Research

2. Submit your application

Our online application is easy to complete and will take around ten minutes. Make sure our CV is no more than three pages and be sure you meet our eligibility criteria (see below in FAQs).

3. Shortlisting

We will review all applications and shortlist all of our applications. Not everyone will make it through to shortlisting, but we will let you know how you went in the process.

4. Initial interview

Participate in a behavioural and technical interview to assess alignment with the firm’s mission and values and your suitability to the role.

5. Case study exercise

Complete a short case study to evaluate analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Final interview

Meet with a Director or senior lawyer to discuss career aspirations and program expectations

7. Outcome

After the final interview we will let you know if you have been successful or not and we are happy to give you feedback to help you improve.

8. Start

If you’re successful you will start full time with us at the beginning of February 2026.

Frequently asked questions

To be eligible for our Graduate Program applicants must:

  • Have completed a minimum of Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor
  • Be eligible to undertake Practical Legal Training (PLT) or have recently been admitted as a lawyer
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in family law through coursework, internships, or volunteer experience
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have full-time working rights within Australia at the commencement of the program

If you’re not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or have Permanent Residency in Australia, you’ll need to provide the following -

  • Your visa notice
  • One of the following: IELTS, OET, TOEFL, iBT, PTE or CAE


We do not have a minimum proficient English requirement to be eligible to apply for our Graduate Program however in the application form we do ask that you meet the minimum proficient English requirements as defined by the Department of Home Affairs.
